Bull Brand Lighter Fluid 100ml is the refill fuel for wick lighters — Zippo-style flip lighters, classic petrol lighters and any other fluid lighter. One tin keeps a daily-carry lighter running for months, which is why it outsells disposables for anyone who owns a proper one. In stock in Nairobi and delivered the same day.

What you get

  • 100ml metal tin with a precision pour nozzle
  • Refined naphtha — burns clean, no soot on the wick
  • For fluid (wick) lighters: Zippo-style, petrol and trench lighters
  • Also used around the home and in art studios as a solvent
  • Resealable cap, stores upright for years

Fluid or gas — how to tell which your lighter takes

This is the question that costs people a lighter, so it is worth thirty seconds. Turn yours over. A small valve or nipple on the base means it runs on pressurised butane and is refilled from a gas canister — that is every Clipper, every torch and every jet flame lighter, and this fluid will not work in them. A felt pad covering cotton wadding means it is a fluid lighter and this is exactly what it takes.

How to refill a Zippo-style lighter

  1. Lift the insert out of the outer case and turn it upside down.
  2. Peel back the felt pad to expose the cotton wadding underneath.
  3. Pour slowly until the wadding is damp through, but not pooling or dripping.
  4. Press the pad flat, slot the insert back in, and wipe your hands before sparking it.
  5. Leave it a minute to settle, then light as normal.

Overfilling is the single most common mistake — it causes the flame to flare and fluid to seep into the case. Damp, not soaked.

How long does a tin last?

A fluid lighter in regular daily use wants topping up roughly every one to two weeks, and the wadding naturally dries out over time even when the lighter sits unused. A 100ml tin covers many refills, so most people buy one tin and forget about it for a season.

Handling

Flammable. Keep away from naked flame while pouring, refill in a ventilated spot, replace the cap firmly and store upright out of reach of children. Wipe any spill off the lighter before you spark it.
